Features & Benefits
These buckets resist heat and moisture. The paper stays rigid through a full delivery run.
Virgin food-grade paper keeps broth and stew flavor true, batch after batch.
The deep, round shape holds more volume. It beats a shallow bowl in the same footprint.
A water-based coating option gives you a plastic-free choice, without losing leak resistance.

Kraft Paper Soup Containers FAQ
What is the difference between a soup container and a paper bowl?
A soup container is a deep, lidded bucket built for full portions of liquid. A paper bowl is shallow and open, better for sides or spoonable food. If the dish travels as a liquid — soup, stew, broth, congee — the bucket is the right format: the deeper wall plus a matched lid keeps liquid contained through a delivery run.
What capacities do your kraft soup containers come in?
Five sizes: 16 oz / 470 ml, 24 oz / 700 ml, 32 oz / 950 ml, 48 oz / 1,420 ml and 64 oz / 1,890 ml. As a rule of thumb, 16 oz suits a single side portion, 24–32 oz covers a standard soup order, and 48–64 oz works for family portions, sharing plates, or bulk catering.
How much heat can a kraft soup container handle?
Every size is rated from -20°C to 100°C, so it takes boiling-hot soup straight from the kettle and also holds up in freezer storage. Fill below the rim and seat the lid fully — a bucket filled to the brim steams the lid loose.
Why does the paper weight increase with size?
Our board runs 300gsm at 16 oz up to 380gsm at 64 oz. A taller bucket carries more liquid weight against the sidewall, so the larger sizes need heavier board to stay rigid. Lighter stock bows outward when a courier lifts the bucket by its rim.
PE lamination or water-based coating — which should I choose?
PE lamination bonds a thin plastic film to the board: waterproof, lowest price, harder to recycle. Water-based coating lays down a barrier with no plastic film: plastic-free, easier to recycle, mid-to-high price. Both handle hot soup to 100°C. We recommend water-based coating for EU shipments and chain-restaurant sustainability programs.
Do the bucket and lid ship as a matched set?
Yes. Each unit is a bucket-and-lid set built to the same rim tolerance, so the lid seats with an even seal. Buying lids separately from another supplier risks a loose fit or a lid that pops off in transit — the most common cause of delivery leaks.
Are kraft soup containers microwave-safe and freezer-safe?
Both coatings are freezer-safe down to -20°C. For reheating, water-based coated buckets are generally microwave-safe; PE-coated buckets are not, because the plastic film softens under microwave heat. When in doubt, decant into a bowl before reheating.
Will the lid leak during delivery?
A matched set sealed correctly holds liquid through a normal delivery run. Three things matter: fill below the rim, press the lid down until it seats evenly all the way round, and keep the bucket upright in a carrier. If your routes are long or rough, tell us — we can quote a tighter-tolerance lid.
Can I print my logo on the bucket, and what files do you need?
Yes. All five sizes accept custom print, including full-wrap artwork. Send AI, PDF, or EPS vector files with text outlined and colors specified in CMYK or Pantone. We return a free digital e-proof before any physical sample is made.
What are the MOQ, lead time, and sample policy?
Custom orders start at 10,000 sets, and same-artwork jobs across different sizes can often be combined to reach it. Production takes about 1 week for 10,000 sets and about 15 days for larger runs, plus shipping time. The digital e-proof is free; a physical sample carries a small fee that is refunded against your bulk order.
